Thai chicken rissoles
Our Thai chicken rissoles are a toddler friendly and familiar way to introduce the fragrant flavours of the delightfully delicious thai green curry paste. Given the chance children will often enjoy stronger flavours used from natural herbs and spices. Try adding herbs and spices to their meals leaving the chilli out – you can add this to your meal afterwards.

Ingredients
- 1½ tbsp thai green curry paste for kids
- 500g chicken breast fillets, roughly chopped
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 tsp palm sugar or caster sugar
- 2 shredded kafir lime leaves or ½ tsp grated lime zest
- rice bran oil to fry
Method
Step 1
Place all the curry paste, chicken fillets, fish sauce and palm sugar in a food processor or blender and process until well combined. Stir through the lime leaves.Shape the mixture into small rissoles and place in the fridge for 30 minutes. -
Step 2
Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook chicken rissoles for 2-3 minutes on each side or until cooked through. -
Step 3
Serve with steamed vegetables or side salad. -

First time I made these, they were a massive hit with my 17 month old. Just made them with a few added ingredients (grated red pepper, grated carrot and grated zucchini plus half a tin of chickpeas) and he is stuffing his face! A great recipe, thank you.

MMMM… these are so good and so easy! I added some coriander as I love it, but it probably doesn’t need it as its flavorsome enough!
