Have a look at our post on why we love dips so much and why dips are great for kids. This is one of our favourites, a nice creamy traditional dip, using the very popular super food, avocado. Harry loves this on everything, but it goes really nicely on sandwiches and helps hold them together.
Tip: Leave the stone of the avocado in the quacamole until you are ready to serve it. This helps prevents it from going brown.
Nutrition Note: Ditch the supermarket varieties, our quacamole is full of natural flavour and freshness and contains no added salt or sugar.

Ingredients
- 1 ripe avocado, stone removed, set aside
- 1/4 small red onion, finely chopped
- 1 ripe tomato, finely diced
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 3 tbsp fresh lime juice
- Chopped coriander/parsley to garnish
Method
Step 1
Place all ingredients (except herbs) in a bowl and mix to combine - or place in a food processor and process for a fine consistency. -
Step 2
Top with coriander and serve. -
Step 3
If you want to keep this dip in the fridge for a few days, leave the stone in the dip to keep it from browning. -
